Our staple roast is a blend of coffee from Brazil and Peru roasted at a light/medium profile, giving it a smooth chocolate and nutty taste. But at Rootless we don’t need to bore you with specifics. It’s our most popular option because when you take your first sip you’ll pause, smile, and say, “That is a damn fine cup of coffee.”

What Size Bag Should I Order?

Here's a cheat sheet to help:

12oz Bag = 21 Cups

1lb Bag = 30 Cups

2lb = 60 Cups

5lb = 143 Cups

Which Grind Setting?

We’re all about the fresh-grind-before-you-brew life, but hey, if you’re grinder-less, here’s a guide to help you order without one.

  • Drip Coffee - Medium Grind that works on your standard coffee pot.
  • Pour Over - Medium Coarse Grind that is good for pour overs.
  • French Press - Coarse doing for your French press or to make cold brew.

What Are Tasting Notes?

These are the natural flavors that show up after roasting the coffee, like chocolate, nuts, or fruit. We list what we taste when we cup it, in order of what hits first.

*No added flavors, and it's 100% nut and allergy free.

Rootless Coffee Company

Amazing smoothness and flavor!

This is one of my most favorite coffees of all time! I'm very partial to Brazilian coffees and since this had Brazilian in its blend I had High Hopes And I was not disappointed . I first try to small bag, and then went for the 5 lb bag and I'm extremely satisfied and I think you will be too! This coffee can be made strong will not be overpowering! Keep in mind, I do not like dark roast! This roast has excellent quality control because there was no difference in the small bag compared to the 5 lb bag I purchased!

This really is a Damn Fine cup of coffee!

It is smooth and full of flavor. I really appreciate how good this is after having an unpalatable big brand K cup at the office.

Damn Fine Is Damn Fine!

Recieved my first Rootless order today & had to try this one as I love a Damn Fine Coffee & I am a Twin Peaks fan. It was one of three bags I bought.

It was afternoon & raining/thunderstorms like crazy, so a hot cup of coffee sounded great. Brewed a half pot, poured my coffee, and added my small splash of cream.

A perfect balance of Light-Mediun. It wasn't like some other brands that make a light-mediun blend where you can have a very acidic taste/aftertaste. It went down with a smooth, easy taste that can be a perfect anytime cofffee OR a perfect introductory coffee for a coffee newbie.

This will be a blend that if I have on tap for my morning pot, I will make another for my afternoon drinking.

 HOW FRESH IS 'FRESH ROASTED'?

We roast to order in small batches 3 to 4 days a week. By the time it hits your doorstep, it was roasted just a few days ago and is entering peak freshness.

DOES COFFEE EXPIRE?

For peak freshness, we recommend using your coffee within about 4 weeks of the roast date. You’ll find it on the bottom of the bag. After that, it’s still good, but the flavor starts to fade and the tasting notes won’t hit as hard. At 6 months, it's time to toss.

IS YOUR COFFEE CERTIFIED ORGANIC?

Not all of our coffee is certified organic. Many small farmers use organic practices but can’t afford the cost or hassle of getting officially certified. What we can promise is this: every coffee we roast is 100% ethically sourced, specialty grade, and comes from the best farms in the world that use sustainable practices.

I HAVE ALLERGIES!

You're good! We don't process any products with nuts in our facility. Many coffees have nutty tasting notes in their flavor profile, but that's just a naturally occurring note in the coffee after it's roasted (think wine). We don't add any flavors to our coffee and It's all 100% coffee. If you're allergic to coffee, I'm so so sorry...also why the hell are you here?
