What Do The Tasting Notes Mean?
They’re the natural occurring flavors in coffee—like chocolate, fruit, or spices—that come from where it’s grown, how it’s roasted, and how you brew it.
No, we aren't adding these flavors in; they just show up on their own. Think of tasting notes as your coffee’s personality profile: they’re here to help you find what you like, whether it’s bright and citrusy or rich and nutty.
How Much Coffee Should I Order?

FAQ
HEY BOZOS, WHEN DO YOU SHIP MY ORDER?
We ship the same day, Monday through Friday, if you order before 10 AM EST. That means your coffee fix is just a click away—easy peasy. Don't worry, if you miss the same day cutoff, we'll ship it the next business day. Lightning Fast Shipping Baby!
HOW OFTEN DO YOU ROAST?
You sneaky devil - what you really want to know is how long ago we roasted the coffee you bought. We roast to order in small batches 3-4 days per week. The coffee delivered to your door will have been roasted a few days ago and entering peak freshness when you pop open that beautiful Rootless box.
HOW LONG IS COFFEE FRESH?
For optimal freshness, we recommend using your coffee within 4-ish weeks after the roast date (sticker on the bottom of your bag). After that, it’s still good, but it will start to lose it’s complexity and the tasting notes won’t be as pronounced. So, treat it like your favorite show—watch it while it's hot!
WHAT IS CRAFT COFFEE?
Craft coffee is part of a new wave of coffee roasting and serving that’s all about quality. We expertly roast specialty-grade, ethically sourced green coffee that’ll ruin your palate for bad coffee. It's basically like a flavor explosion in your mouth. Seriously, it's really good.
IS YOUR COFFEE CERTIFIED ORGANIC?
Not all of it is "certified" organic. Many small farmers use organic farming practices but simply can't afford to go through the cumbersome certification process. All of our coffee is 100% ethically sourced, specialty grade, and we work with some of the best importers in the game.
If you have any further questions about organic coffee, mycotoxins, or mold, feel free to reach out for a detailed rundown (i.e - a rant from Sean). info@rootlesscoffee.com
I HAVE ALLERGIES!
You're good! We don't process any products with nuts in our facility. Many coffees have nutty tasting notes in their flavor profile, but that's just a naturally occurring note in the coffee after it's roasted (think wine). We don't add any flavors to our coffee and It's all 100% coffee. If you're allergic to coffee, I'm so so sorry...also why the hell are you here?
